Just like Melee, except it's a bit more floaty. In a nutshell.
they took out wavedash....LAME!!!!
Just like Melee, except it's a bit more floaty. In a nutshell.
That pretty much sums it up. I would rate it an 8.5. and the story is pretty decent. Also Snake is a decent character.
Well it's different from Melee. It's a little slower than melee, also floatier, the characters also seemed to slide a little more than melee... some changes in how it felt, was probably because of the havoc engine. The supposed clones aren't really that much of clones at all, wich is good. I used to be preatty upset on the fact that they took a lot of melee skills, but not anymore. The game is just different, feels different and in some cases plays different, from where I'm coming from thats actually a good thing. And from what I hear, Brawl will and already has a few tricks of its own. People will just have to get used to it, because if they think that just because someone took a wavedash or an L-cancel is a good enough reason to not get their buts kicked... well, they're in for a surprise:lol:
After playing it for a few weeks, I can say that all the characters are more balanced and the game is simply amazing. Smash balls are fun for 4 player party bashes but don't work so well for competitive play since it can swing the game so quickly (especially sonic). Some players got nerfed like samus, other players were improved such as pikachu and ness. The game is a little 'slower' (for the lack of a better term) compared to SSBM. Most of the new characters are awesome and introduced new styles of play. I like metaknight, sonic, pokemon trainer and a few unlockable players. Overall, if you liked SSBM, you will LOVE SSBB.
I've actually never played Melee, since I never got a Gamecube. If you've only played the N64 version to death, how will it be for a vet of that?

hey prince. How exactly does the physics engine work in this game? What does it effect?
It worries me hearing that it is slower than Melee. One of the reasons i love Mele is because of its crazy speed.
hey prince. How exactly does the physics engine work in this game? What does it effect?
It probably effects on how the characters interact with the environment and probably the items as well... but if you were to ask me, I didn't see anything extraordinary in comparison to the rest of the series in this area. Or in this case nothing that couldn't possibly be done without the engine. It might have to do with how the game feels different to me, but for the fact that I can't really say for sure, speaks volumes on what I think the engine is doing in the game.
Yeah I mostly loved all the new characters as well except for one tho... don't want to spoil the game. You should try putting sonic with a bunny hood running on the F-zero blue stage... He runs faster than the freaking F-zero machines  .
It worries me hearing that it is slower than Melee. One of the reasons i love Mele is because of its crazy speed.
It's still a pretty fast paced game. Even though they took out some of the speed, the game seems more fluid. Big slow, powerhouses aren't as useless either, like king dede.
It's Melee with moon physics, however you can't move left and right in the air as much as you could.
Captain Falcon is nerfed big time.Graphics are nicer.Stage builder's good, but you can only flip objects left n right, and not upside down (yet?, I dunno if you unlock it.).The recorder works fine, but 3 minutes? screw that. All my battles last around 5 minutes so we never get a chance to save it.There's HEAPS of music in this game.Mario's FLUDD is crap. Even it's intended use fails. That'll do for now.
You should try outrunning the F-zero machines with Wario's FS on his motor cycle. And btw, you can pick up Snake's box mid taunt.
they took out wavedash....LAME!!!!
If you cling to old notions and strategies, you're still just a scrub. You need to learn that there will be new advanced techniques to master. You're playing Brawl, not Melee Mk2, so get used to the fact that you're going to have to try new stuff.
its 10/10, but I have not played it. Paradox.
