I'll admit it. I'm a complete GRAPHICS * ...

No joke I would drop $500 bones every 2-2 1/2 years to be on the same level graphics as the most cutting edge PC'sI'm already sick of 360/PS3 level graphics. I'm ready for full DX 10 Crysis level and beyond on my big 1080P TV.Give me a new system every 2 years I'll drop the CHEESE and be a day one buyer.I'll admit it. I'm a complete GRAPHICS * ...
not gonna happen anytime soon. you can fantasize though, or maybe just go and buy a $4000 pc.I'll admit it. I'm a complete GRAPHICS * ...
so go for it. there's a new top video card every 6 months. if you need to be top of the line just do it.
If you're willing to drop that much cash every 2 years just to keep up with PCs you might as well go and buy one.

 try $1500 max.
Sounds like Alienware should be on your shopping list then, PC is the only thing that will keep up with what you want. It will probably take at least 5 years more before the PS3 is maxed to it's potential, same with the 360.
There are alot of people that really wouldnt agree with you. What should happen is that all games should be 360 and PC compatble, with a 360 emulator available for free download on PC. This way you could then play your 360 games on the console, or play it on your PC for a graphically superior version. They just need to make all xbox accessories usable on the PC.
I'm not ready quite yet. But come 2010, I'm all for it. I like the Wii exclusives, but the lack of HD is really starting to rear it's ugly head.

Alienware is a no no in my book. Even after the 8800GTX was out they still had a model with a 7900 for around $2000 I think.

If he's willing to shell out that kind of money so quickly, he should just research PC's and get a good one.

But heck with that nowadays. I want to be maxing back in my big PLUSH sofa playing on a HUGE 1080P TV with the ease of a wireless headset for my online gaming. And munching on the chips and soda pop.My days of being hunched over in my PC chair on a PC screen are over. It just can not compete with a 60+ HD TV and a layed back sofa.
buy a 360 controller for your PC, hook the PC up to the TV and enjoy it like a console if that is what you want.Of course, you will always have the option of, for games that are much better with a M+KB, switching to M+KB.
If a new gen console would be released right now with the kind of performances you're asking, it's not 500$ it would cost but more like 1500$ if not more.
And this is why i will spend the big bones on Monster cables and i just also got the Pysclone brand HDMI for my 360. Becuase i want the BEST image i can get. And don't be fooled the better the cable is there is a better IMAGE quality. It maay not be much but it is slighty better. It is it's a fact. Monster cables TROUNCE the in box componenet cables for 360.And i'll hope to even see more of a difference with the $99 pysclone HDMI 1.3 compitition cable for 360. Although i did get it off ebay for 30 bucks. It is the same for $99 in best buy and it is the best rated HDMI cable for 360. And as my other experience with Monster brand i'm expecting a slight improvment maybe not much. But like i said i'm a GRAPHICS *****. So yes you will notice a tad better image on the $$$ cables.
i love me some eye candy to. i just hate pc gaming. the PS3 is plenty fine for me. my friend has a pc thats he put together for about $1200. it plays crysis near perfect that i can tell.

And yes you get some of this on 360. But not as bad. And i'm just to lazy to upgrade my PC anymore. I stopped at a 6800 when HL2 came out. I played HL2 and Far Cry 2 on full and it was sweet. But since them Xbox all the way. i just want it LAZY style walk into a store by a new system hook it up and play.

''Plush couch'' to ''hunched over in a chair.'' If you can have a plush couch than you can surely have a ''comfy executive chair'' for your ''home office.'' ''HUGE 1080p TV'' to ''Monitor.'' If you can have a 1080P TV than you surely can afford a ''30inch Dell 2560 by 1500 LCD gaming display.'' And...''munching on chips and soda pop.'' LOL WTF. How muc lazier can today's gamer get? I dont know about you but I dont like to grease up my controller and dripple pop and chips on my ''PLUSH COUCH'' when I am in the middle of playing an online videogame. Troll somewhere else. BTW As others have stated you can do all of those lazy things on a computer too (plush couch, tv, gamepad, eat chips but whats the point of repeating it.
