The One Benefit of Xbox

I never post in System Wars but I figured this is the place to post this.I came to the realization yesterday that 99% of PC gamers are old enough to act mature when gaming online. When I first started playing CS online, almost 10 years ago, most people were ''kiddy.'' Where have all of these annoying little scumbags gone that call everything gay?XBOX LIVE!!If it weren't for Xbox live, PC gamers would have to mute each other far more often. Since there's an inherent difficulty in PC gaming, many of the immature little ''kids'' that would ruin games with their newly discovered foul mouths, are now attracted to Xbox and Xbox live.I haven't had to deal with a single spoiled brat since I started playing TF2 in September...not one. It's almost like a gaming miracle.Thank you Xbox Live for being easier to use than online PC gaming...you have saved millions of people from dealing with adolescent shenanigans. So before you rip on Xbox...just think...it probably saved you from hearing the word gay used in 13 different ways in a voice three octaves higher than your own.The One Benefit of Xbox
you can mute on xbox live too.The One Benefit of Xbox
To be honest i've never experianced fould mouthed teenagers on pc games, so i havn't needed to mute anyone. Saying that I have come across far more mainland Europeans who I can't understand, so they may as well be muted.
LOL, good point well put, although the kids you played against on counter strike 10 years ago have probably grown up now, I could be wrong but I'd put money on it.
Why in the world is anyone *not* muting those who are not on their friends list? Who the ^%$ wants to hear these people anyway? I want to play a game, not form an online relationship. If you're not on my friends list, everything you say is automatically sent to /dev/null. I don't want to hear a %$#$%%26* thing from you.

I mute peopel who are being over -extreme/racist or playing the plokemon theme song in the background. It's too much work going around muting everyone before a game.

You're the reason why I'm glad I have mute capabilities. It makes me verry happy to know that not one pointless, unintelligent noise coming from your mouth would even pass within hearing distance of my ears.Thank you MS for the mute functionality!EDIT: This seems harsh. I have nothign against you,. Please don't take it personally :)There are settings under personal options, I believe, that allow you to automatically mute everyone but your friends. You don't have to mute one at a time. :p

I play gears more than anything..and that's a team game. I don't swear at my team mates, but there's always a satisfaction in kicking someones ass...and if the the person you're beating was being a **** to you, it's great to say stuff back. that's what online is all about, going over the top..nah i don't do that but meh.

Funny thing is, the people who played CS 10yrs ago were kids, but the same people now play other pc multiplayer games(like BF2) but they have now grown up and matured so no cursing and childish behaviour will be seen on the PC these days.
