Xbox 360 & PS3 Damage Comparison Qui ...

What system has the more damage rep that I should know about? My 360 broke and as we speak it's been ''repaired''. Knowing this is my 3rd time doing this, it just bothers the hell out of me. So, I decide to purchase a PS3, hope for a change. The change I am going for is a better piece of hardware. Does PS3 deliever that, or are they in the same boat with dead products like Microsoft? This is what has been on my mind, and it drives me crazy knowing how things break so fast when you do NOTHING to it. P.S. PS3 is prettttty sweet console =DXbox 360 %26amp; PS3 Damage Comparison Qui ...
It's better Hardware, worse range of Software.Xbox 360 %26amp; PS3 Damage Comparison Qui ...
PS3 definitely has the best hardware. Software is all opinion.

360 has wayyyy more documented hardware failures.PS3s are almost bullet proof.Oddly enough though, I've had a 360 for 2 years and the only problem I've had is DREs from time to time......meanwhile my PS3 bricked on Saturday after less than 2 months of use :( Worked perfectly and then all of a sudden it won't read my disks

Hopefully it's just a firmware glitch and not the blu-ray drive :| Anyways, she's going into the shop tonight :D
The PS3 is an extremely impressive and reliable piece of hardware. Not only is it far FAR more reliable than the 360, it is also far far more reliable than any past PS console.
Hey everyone, thanks for all the help and your opinions =). Well now I have 2 consoles, 1 so far untill the 360 gets back. All I want is a console that I can play on without having in the back of my head, ''will is break soon?'' Worring is just something I don't need to do, especially for a console lol. My experience with the PS3 so far is amazing. Motorstorm is a pretty sweet game, even though Gamespot rated it a 7.8 I believe? From what I know PS3 has been lacking cause of it's 1 year loss towards 360. 360 has been ahead, so I see why they are being successful. This year from what I hear and read should be PS3's year to shine. PS Home is being released as an update this spring, if I am correct? Either way, both consoles are amazing, just one of them breakes down to quick and for me that's a pain int he A.. you know what I'm talking about lol.Once again, thank you for your help.
The reason why I am asking this is because I am thinking on buying a PS3 for my girlfriend. She want's a console for her birthday, so I am deciding to get her a PS3, instead of a Xbox 360. Reason for that would be due to constant hardware failures. All I would do before was talk highly about 360, which don't get me wrong the console is great with outstanding games. It's just I'm fed up now you know? 3 Xbox's broke on me in a matter of a year, or something like that =S. All I want is a good choice for her, so I know money is not wasted. Plus she can play with me on the PS3, same with the Xbox of course. So yeah, which consoles have more of the hardware failure's, and which console would be your choice of pick.
Get her a Wii. Chicks dig the Wii. But in all seriousness, the ps3 has a very limited range of hardware related problems. Although right now, your girlfriend won't have that many games to play on it, but hopefully that'll change with time, and you'll realise that you've made a good choice.

Like the PS3 has the same games as the 360, so I am sure it wouldn't be a problem. It's just I want my money's worth, not like the 360, knowing it breaks constantly =S. Oh and I was wondering if I should pay $100 at EB Games for their ''Warranty''? At the time when I bought it, which was last month on the 28th, I never had money for warranty. He told me to come back before 30 days to pay for the warranty. Just don't want to pay for a warranty that is really not needed. Also, how is the Sony warranty service, are they like Microsoft?
