2008, best year ever for gamers?

I think it is, lets just take a look at the lineup.Xbox 360 - Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Banjo Threeie, Fable 2, Too Human, Lost OdysseyPS3 - MGS4, Tekken 6, Little Big Planet (not a fan, but thought Id mention it anyway), Resistance 2Wii - Super Smash Brothers Brawl, No More Heroes, and im not sure whats in store for Holiday 2008, Pikmin? Zelda Wii? Square Enix titles?PC - Starcraft 2 (if it actually comes this year), Spore, DragonageMultiplat - GTAIV, Fallout 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, Soul Caliber 4, Last RemnantPSP - Chains of Olympus, Crisis Core, Elder Scrolls, PataponDS - Dragon Quest 9, Ninja Gaiden DSand Im sure I missed alot, but this is my list for the year.2008, best year ever for gamers?

I like FPS so this year probably won't be better but it will be good none the less.
so far 1995-2000 and 2007 have been the best years in gaming imo
2008 > 2007Especially if RE5 makes it out this year.
'08 is looking to be the best year for gaming since '98.
It's going to be tough to compete with Rock band, GH III, Bioshock, CoD4, PR4, and Forza 2....etc

Not if you don't like Rhythm games or FPS. This year will be the best for RTS, Fighting, Action, Adventure, and RPGs of all types in several years. It's definately not lacking in the FPS department either, and it's almost guaranteed that a sequel to Guitar Hero or Rock Band will make it out this year. A CoD sequel is also likely.

2007 was an overrated year. Great games but not even close to the greatest ever. 1998 stomps it into mush.2008 probably won't beat 1998 but it WILL beat 2007. And the only way 2008 can really beat 1998 IMO is if Starcraft 2, Dragon Age, Spore, RE5, Banjo Threeie, and Alan Wake do all indeed make this year.And that condition only matters assuming that Fallout 3 delivers(which it most likely will. Sadly, it may not deliver that classic Fallout feeling but it will deliver a good game) along with Too Human, MGS 4, Brawl, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Red Alert 3 and Gear of War 2 all turning out to be great games.Otherwise, it is up against too much to really compete with 1998.

2007 sucked, it was insanely overrated other than a few games like Super Mario Galaxy and the Orange Box.2008 kicks 2007 in the balls, tears out its small intestine, smacks it across the face with it, and then strangles it to death.2008 is too good to be true.
Best year for gamers indeed, sucks to be a fanboy.
